Office Manager

The Office Manager position is a support role that works directly with the Operations Department and the Principal. 

The office manager keeps ORANGEWALLstudios running smoothly, confidently navigating daily obstacles that arise in any small business, and with regular tasks ranging from general office support, event planning and finance. Successful team members are self-motivated problem solvers who communicate well and keep projects moving efficiently. 

You'll be the face of our company, greeting visitors to the studio and creating a welcoming environment for our staff. You'll provide general support to your fellow employees and run errands as needed. You'll also directly support the Principal, interfacing regularly to provide for a continuity of information between him and the staff, and regularly debriefing to keep track of priorities and upcoming commitments. 

The successful candidate will be a sharp, focused thinker who can juggle numerous tasks and schedules while keeping the office organized and ready for meetings. You should be comfortable in a role that changes in response to opportunities that arise each day. You will be expected respond quickly and competently to last-minute requests and emergencies in a deadline-driven, creative services environment. You must be dependable and responsible, understanding the needs of the studio and always accountable to your fellow employees.

In additional to general office support, you may be asked to make web site updates and social media posts in accordance with our company guidelines. You should have a keen eye for details as you will be tasked with handing financial data, including payroll data and POs; you must also be comfortable and experienced handling sensitive or confidential data.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills. You should be someone who communicates effectively and works well with others, and is comfortable responding to changes in priorities in an unstructured environment. Above all, we're looking for someone who has a positive attitude, takes pride in his or her work, responds positively to new situations and recognizes opportunities to improve process.
