As studio manager at ORANGEWALLstudios, Joy Stoelting is the first person you meet upon entering the office. She sets a tone for the space, presenting a friendly countenance and exuding a casual professionalism. Joy is trusted to handle tasks that keep the company running smoothly, whether bookkeeping, HR, managing calendars or studio culture. She was attracted to the purpose-driven work of an architecture studio, sensitive toward the ways people interact within spaces, and appreciative of the tangibility and long lifespan of architectural design.
Joy was an art teacher before embarking on a successful career as an artist, enjoying many years as a working musician in Colorado while running the business of her band and all that came with it, including a private record label. During that experience, she became a more linear thinker—discovering that mathematical and strategic abilities helped her to pursue wider artistic endeavors. With more than a decade of experience as a studio manager at creative agencies, Joy now gets professional fulfillment using those tools and skills to support the creative vision of others.
